Tinea Corporis (Ringworm)

Not usually all over the body, but can be somewhat dispersed.  Keys to diagnosis:
  • Discrete, flat, annular lesions, sometimes scaly, with leading edge (prominent borders)
  • Itchy
  • Topical antifungal TID-QID starts to help in a couple of days (if not, doubt the diagnosis)
    • Must cover Tinea (clotrimazole, miconazole, etc; NOT nystatin)
