Allergic Rhinitis

Usually diagnosed in context of Chronic Cough or Nasal congestion, BUT still suspect & diagnose for ACUTE SYMPTOMS, if:

  • History of frequent similar episodes
  • History of annual episodes lasting > 3-4 weeks (viral URIs don’t last that long)
  • Prominent sneezing paroxysms
  • Physical Exam: Allergic Shiners, Allergic Salute, pale boggy nasal mucosa.
