Hypertension as Cause of Headache

Almost never causes a headache.  Blood pressure would have to be in the likes of 240/130.  With a B/P is only 180/110, maybe suspect a hypertensive emergency if patient is also vomiting, has papilledema or other neurologic signs.  Otherwise, an elevated B/P is a red herring; seek another etiology for the headache.
