Migrainous Vertigo

No gold standard for diagnosis
  • Only consistent Sx: recurrent vertigo
Consider diagnosis if:
  • Vertigo occurs during a known migraine
  • Other typical components of Migraine
For recurrent vertigo w/o typical headache, should first:
  • r/o Meniere’s: obtain formal audiometry
  • r/o Perilymphatic Fistula: send to ENT
  • r/o MS: send to Neuro for MRI, LP, evoked responses
