For the dyspneic patient in extremis, diagnose Angioedema if:
- swollen lips, tongue, uvula
- maybe stridor on auscultation
Treatment (for anaphylaxis):
- Epinephrine 1:1,000 (1 ml. ampule), 0.5 ml, IM
- OR EpiPen [same thing]
- Repeat in 5-10 min.
- IV Normal Saline, wide open if in shock
- Staff to have called 911, given O2
