* Socked-in redness; not dilated vessels
* No Symptoms: No itch or grittiness; no discharge; NO PAIN
* Maybe Hx recent Valsalvas (cough; heavy lifting; pushing in labor, etc.)
* BEWARE if Hx blunt trauma- Perform thorough eye exam first [posting pending]
- If eye otherwise normal, then NO TENDERNESS upon gently wiggling globe through closed lids
Distinguish from Episcleritis, which often has dilated tufts of vessels
