Seborrheic Dermatitis (cause of hair loss)

Distinguish from Seb Derm from Psoriasis:

• Greasy = Seborrheic Derm /  silver-white scales = Psoriasis
• Seborrheic Derm often descends to the eyebrows & cheeks
• Psoriasis may also be elsewhere (extensor elbows, knees, heels, sacrum)

Treat both with topical Steroids

• Also topical anti-fungals for Seb Derm

If Seb Derm, recommend HIV test
