Otitis Externa

**  Manipulation of external ear exquisitely tender

• Tug on Pinna,   Push on Tragus
• This is main diagnostic parameter
• No tenderness as above  =  probably NOT otitis externa

**  Exudate in ear canal

**  Cellulitis around external ear = more serious

• May need IV Tx if febrile / diabetic
