Physiologic conditions that are diagnoses of exclusion
- Pelvic exam is normal
- Urine Pregnancy Test is Negative
Mittelschmerz occurs midcycle, lasts several hours to 2 days
Dysmenorrhea occurs at onset menses, or just prior
- BEWARE — Don’t confuse “menses” with Ruptured Ectopic or Threatened Abortion
- If menstrual pain not a usual symptom for pt., get Urine Pregnancy Test
